GREAT BOOKS TO READ TO YOUR THREE-TO-FIVE-YEAR-OLD PART III

Reading is one of the best pastimes you can share with your child. When you read together, you learn together. You share precious moments, laughter, and memories. There’s so much value in reading! That’s why we’ve dedicated our last few daycare center blogs to great book recommendations. Today, we’re continuing that theme with further recommendations. These books are ideal to read with your three-to-five-year-old child!

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE BY MAURICE SENDAK

Beware! This is the “scariest” title that we have in our book recommendations list. If you have a child that’s sensitive to all things scary, you may want to refrain from this book (especially as a bedtime story). That said, if you have a kiddo who loves adventure and values courage, you’ll love reading Where the Wild Things Are together. This book surrounds the adventures of Max as he sails to a magical island full of “Wild Things.” These beasts befriend Max and turn him into a king. A tale of fear, courage, and comfort, Where the Wild Things Are may become your child’s favorite read.

GOODNIGHT MOON BY MARGARET WISE BROWN

Possibly the greatest bedtime story of all time, Goodnight Moon will calm your child as they drift off to a deep sleep. Margaret Wise Brown guides us as our main character (a bunny) says “goodnight” to objects throughout the room. Say goodnight to your mittens, chair, socks, and the cow jumping over the moon with Goodnight Moon. Your little one is sure to call for this timeless classic as they get cozy for bedtime.
